Day 1 PARIS / ANTANANARIVO
Arrival at the airport , meeting and transfer to the hotel . Accomodation on bed and breakfast basis
Day 2 ANTANANARIVO / ANTSIRABE
Departure by car towards Antsirabe All along the road, through the typical red mud houses of the high plateau, the landscape is softened by very wide ricefields, another indicator of the indonesian influence on the Malagasy people , which give way to conifer woods and eucalyptus trees . A stop at Ambatolampy will make you discover the trade of the foundry known by the local population who manufactures kitchen ustensils and objects out of aluminium that the craftsmen of this area specialized.
Lunch at the restaurant RENDEZ VOUS DES PECHEURS . Capital of the rickshaw, means of transport still largely used by all the population, Antsirabe has many hot springs; we mention that of Ranovisy and thermal baths. Antsirabe is also one of the turntables of the fine and decorative stones market as well as silk. Guided visit in weaving where you will be explained step by step the cycle of the wild cocoon. Day 3 ANTSIRABE / AMBOSITRA / RANOMAFANA
Breakfast, visit of a semi-precious stone cutting. Departure for Ambositra through the high plateau terraced with ricefields . The proximity of the Zafimanirry country and the east forest made it the capital of the woodwork (sculpture and marquetry): visit workshops and shops. After the visit, continuation to RANOMAFANA through a currently well made-up track .Lunch at the the table d' hote of IMANASOVAHINY . Accomodation on bed and breakfast basis at the hotel
Day 4 RANOMAFANA / FIANARANTSOA
Breakfast. Departure for the visit of Ranomafana national park , RANOMAFANA is a national park located at the south-east of the island, called thus because of its warm water swimming pool . One finds there a hydroelectric dam in the height of the mountain and in a very dense and wet forest with a flora and fauna among the most varied while being unique in the world . Medicinal plants , wide varieties of orchids , carnivorous plants , giant "fangeons". An exceptional fauna among which the lemurs: not less than 12 species of lemurs including 2 rare species: the famous hapalémur aureus and hapalémur simus which eat mainly bamboo shoots and guavas. Birds, single in the world, 8 species of bats , as well as many rodents, reptiles, batrachians, spiders and butterflies. Lunch at the restaurant RIANALA. In afternoon, continuation to Fianarantsoa. Accomodation on half-board basis at the the hotel
Day 5 FIANARANTSOA / AMBALAVAO / RANOHIRA (ISALO)
Breakfast. Short visit of the city , a beautiful university town that one discovers while strolling through its alleys and its bricks and tiles made houses . The city is surrounded by lakes, vineyards and the unique tea plantation of Madagascar. The reliefs supported the development of the terraced rice plantations . Departure to Ranohira with a stop at Ambalavao for the visit of the Antaimoro paper factory and workshop . Lunch at the restaurant BOUGAINVILLEES After the lunch, continuation towards Ranohira. Visit the village reserve of NY ANJA . Crossing the immense Plateau of Horombe, country of zebus herds . Arrival in the Massif of Isalo at the end afternoon. Accomodation in half-board basis at the hotel.
Day 6 RANOHIRA (ISALO)
Breakfast , full day excursion to discover the ruiniform Massif of Isalo with its strange sculptures of continental sandstone dating from Jurassic which quality varies appreciably in the various sectors of the park; this explains a varied geomorphology. A fauna the majority of which is endemic (birds, Amphibians, reptiles, lemurs), a flora in its unique species, : aloe, thorn-bush, palm trees will quite sure attract you .
Many circuits are proposed to admire each site of the park.
- the Monkeys and the Rats Canyon. This wide canyon shelters a splendid turquoise waterfall. The site offers a panoramic view on the tropical forest, cliffs and the ricefields. The luxuriant forests of bamboos and palm trees privileges the observation of the lemurs of the park, in particular sifakas, the ringed tail lemurs.
- The Namaza canyon is a difficult access site but your efforts will be rewarded by a superb panoramic sight on the forest, the mysterious Nymphes cascade and the “black swimming pool”. The canyon shelters some lemurs, birds, lizards, butterflies, etc Near by is a natural swimming pool. A bathe in this natural environment where calm and serenity reigns , is very pleasant.
- The sunset at the" Isalo window " is not to be missed to finish the day in beauty. Indeed, the Massif of Isalo, naturally shaped in form of window, open on a fabulous decoration, a landscape of deserted valleys extends to the horizon.

Day 7 RANOHIRA / TULEAR / IFATY
Breakfast Drive to Tuléar, a city located in a quasi desert climate area , this coastal town receives only a few days of rain per year. The candidates for the tour to the the South (Tana-Tulear) will enjoy a compensating relaxation after 949 kms of crossing . Many Vezo fishermen villages strew the coasts. In the inland people give themselves up to zebu breeding . The southern areas (from Fort Duphin to Tuléar) are characterized by a single flora which makes the admiration of the visitors and the interest of the botanists (dwarf baobab trees, euphorbiums,….). First cliches of the aride southern vegetation : (baobab trees, bush…), and of the Mahafaly Tombs, characterized by the “Aloalos”, wood posts carved of geometrical motifs and topped by naive sceneries of the life . Arrival at TULEAR, visit the shells market the Antsokay Arboretum . Lunch at the restaurant. Continuation TO Ifaty. The presence of the lagoon makes it an exceptional site for fishing and underwater discovery. Beautiful beach. Accomodation on half-board at the hotel
Day 8 and day 9 IFATY
Day free at leisure. Accomodation on full board basis at the hotel.
Day 10 IFATY / TULEAR / ANTANANARIVO / PARIS
Lunch at the restaurant. Transfer to Tulear airport according the flight schedule to Antananarivo.
